Oh yes…how could I resist the offer of free fish n chips dinners with wine for writing up this little sponsored post about Fish & Chips night at Island Mix – yum! As always, our aim at Island Effect is to be an excellent, trusty guide for you, so all opinions are our own!
Set in the perfect ambience of warm tropical breeze flowing in from the marina, Thursday’s popular Fish & Chips at Island Mix is the place to relax and indulge in some island ‘comfort food’.

Paired with a glass of wine, or with a bottle or two the local Piton beer, Island Mix Fish & Chips, made with fresh local fish, has earned a ‘My Favourite’ title for many a local and visitor.
Coincidentally Piton is the beer used as one of the signature ingredients in the delicious batter…
Now all that’s left is to dash your fish & chips with your choice of traditional malt vinegar, ketchup or my favourite, homemade tartar sauce.
How Thursday Fish & Chips at Island Mix got started
2015, Nadia, the charming host of Island Mix Arts Emporium, where incidentally, you can always get a fabulous variety of authentic local and regional art, gifts, fashion and accessories and lovely souvenirs, realized that nowhere in Rodney Bay offered a good fish & chips at a reasonable price. Island Mix had already started a café offering island ‘Afternoon Tea’ and morning coffee and cakes, but Nadia wanted to add a simple evening meal.

Now an ever-growing fan-base of locals and expats visit Island Mix for “their” Thursday meal and have gone from a table number to familiar friends greeted by first name and a warm smile from the host and staff.
Why is Island Mix Thursday Fish & Chips so great?
We’ve already let you know that the local Piton Beer is one of the ‘secret’ ingredients, but that’s not all…You’ll often here regulars asking, ‘What’s tonight’s fish?’ as the fish varies depending on which white fish the local fisherman catches that day. The herbs used to marinate the catch are all locally sourced, fresh and fragrant, mixed with local lemon and lime to create the burst of flavour that’s made Island Mix’s Fish & Chips such a favourite.

So, we’ll be seeing you this Thursday, right?! 6-8pm. Drop in or call ahead so your parcels of deliciousness are ready for you when you arrive, or if you want to get take out.
