Building a Resilient Creative Future Beyond Covid-19 – Perspectives from the Caribbean
May 22, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

The world of creatives, the cultural and creative industries has been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. We pause to consider what it takes to build a resilient creative future beyond COVID19 with perspectives from the Caribbean and beyond in this two part series as part of a Humanities in Action Virtual Seminar Series at the University of the West Indies’ Institute of Caribbean Studies (ICS). Conceptualised as an ICS Day Forum to commemorate the establishment of the ICS in 1987, this event showcases speakers who are involved whether as teachers, stakeholders, or policy makers in a collective project to visualise a resilient creative future.
Key Questions: 1. What does a creative Caribbean reimagined for the age of coronavirus look like? 2. How can we learn from the COVID19 crisis and its impact globally?
Date: Friday, May 15th 2020 and Friday May 22nd at 10:00am (JA)
